Pickers (Harvest Workers)

Carry out harvesting activities within their assigned farms, Field, and field areas, ensure crops are harvested correctly, meet daily harvesting targets, and accurately record the number of crates harvested.

• Operate as part of a floating Harvest Team, working across different farms based on the weekly harvest plan.
• Receive daily harvesting instructions and assignments from the Harvest Manager.
• View assigned farms, fields, field areas, harvesting dates, and target number of crates.
• Harvest crops according to the instructions and targets provided.
• Ensure harvested produce is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain quality.
• Work within assigned blocks and rows to complete harvesting tasks.
• Count and record the number of crates harvested from their assigned areas.
• Tag or scan completed crates when required to track harvesting quantities.
• Ensure harvested crates are correctly linked to their originating farms and blocks.
• Report harvesting progress and actual crate quantities to the Harvest Manager.
• Identify and report damaged crops, quality issues, or other problems encountered during harvesting.
• Report incomplete tasks, harvesting delays, and any challenges affecting daily targets.
• Coordinate with Logistics to ensure harvested crates are available for collection and loading.
• Follow updated harvesting instructions and priorities communicated by the Harvest Manager.
• Ensure harvesting activities are completed within the required timeframes.
