The Production Manager oversees production activities across all farms, plans daily and weekly farming activities, assigns work to Farm Managers and floating teams, and monitors progress across the farms.

  • Farm Setup
    • Set up farms, fields, field areas, and rows.
    • Configure the number of plants per row, crop varieties, planting dates, and irrigation information.
    • Assign Farm Managers, Area Supervisors, Crop Maintenance Supervisors, and workers to their respective farms and areas.
  • Daily Farm Planning
    • Plan daily activities for each farm.
    • Provide instructions to Farm Managers, who delegate work to their respective supervisors and workers.
    • Plan irrigation, crop maintenance, and general farm activities.
    • Create additional tasks when issues are identified during farm inspections.
  • Irrigation Planning
    • Plan irrigation schedules for each farm or block.
    • Review previous EC, water, and runoff measurements.
    • Adjust watering instructions based on measurements and observations.
    • Area Supervisors are responsible for performing and signing off the required measurements.
  • Spraying Planner
    • Plan spraying activities for specific farms and blocks.
    • Spraying generally follows a five-day cycle, but schedules can be adjusted due to weather and operational conditions.
    • Allocate spraying workers, tractor drivers, and equipment, including tractors or drones.
    • Spraying is executed by floating Operations Teams.
  • Seeding Planner
    • Plan incoming seedlings, specifying quantities, varieties, arrival weeks, and destination blocks.
    • Identify which blocks need to be prepared before seedlings arrive.
    • The seeding plan triggers plant preparation activities under Operations.
    • Plant preparation differs depending on whether crops are planted in bags or soil.
  • Harvest Planning
    • The Production Manager manually creates the weekly harvest plan.
    • Specify farms, blocks, target crates, harvesting teams, and required transport.
    • Allocate floating Harvest Teams or use assigned Crop Maintenance Workers, depending on the harvesting arrangement.
    • The Harvest Manager coordinates harvesting activities, while Farm Managers sign off completed work.
  • Fertilizer and Mixing Planning
